About CRATE

CRATE exists to make trading digital gaming assets simple, safe, and transparent. We connect Team Fortress 2 players to the items they want — from burning unusuals to Australium weapons and war paints — through one fast marketplace.

CRATE is built by a small, distributed team of engineers and gamers who believe the secondary market for virtual goods deserves clear prices, one wallet, and a support team that steps in when a trade cannot be completed.

CRATE is a TF2 item marketplace with two kinds of listing. Most of the catalog is listings from partner TF2 marketplaces: when you buy one, we place the purchase for you and the seller trades the item straight to your Steam account. Players can also sell their own items here (Sell an Item): the item is deposited with CRATE, held in custody until it sells, and then we send it to the buyer; these are marked “★ User listing”. You pay from a single prepaid wallet, and if an order can't be delivered, its price goes back to your wallet automatically.

Browse live listings, top up your wallet by card, and buy. Items are delivered through Steam trades. To sell your own items and withdraw the proceeds, you complete a one-time identity check (KYC).
