AML & KYC Policy

CRATE (DEK KEY OÜ) operates a marketplace where users can top up a wallet by card, buy items, and — after selling their own items — withdraw the resulting proceeds. This policy describes the identity checks and controls we apply to prevent our platform being used for money laundering. It reflects only the checks we actually perform; we do not claim controls we do not run.

Card top-up credit is spendable on the marketplace but is not redeemable for cash. Only proceeds from selling your own items are withdrawable to a payout method. This separation is enforced in code: a withdrawal can never exceed your realised sale proceeds, so money added by card cannot be cashed out.

Before your first payout you must complete identity verification. We collect your legal name, residential address, a government-issued identity document, and your payout details. A payout cannot be requested until this verification is approved. The identity-document image is stored privately and is accessible only to authorised reviewers through an access-controlled route.

Every payout request is reviewed before it is paid. We may refuse, suspend, hold or reverse a payout, and request further information, where we reasonably suspect fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion, or a breach of our Terms. We do not accept new sign-ups from Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria or Cuba (checked by IP country and by email address), and we do not accept cards with a billing address in those countries. Existing account holders keep access to their account and balance. Payouts are made only to a payout method that matches the verified account holder.

We keep transaction and verification records for the period required by applicable law and cooperate with lawful requests from competent authorities. We may report activity to the relevant supervisory authority where we are legally required to do so.
